EARLY LEARNING CENTRE NEWS
Swan Reach Area School preschoolers have been learning about our wonderful local Emergency Services. Last term they were lucky enough to have visits from Mrs Holly Cowland from SA Ambulance Service, Mrs Trena Williamson from Country Fire Service and Mr Johnno Peacock from SA Police. All brought along their vehicles to show the children and gave them lots of information about their jobs and how to keep themselves and their families safe. The children learnt many things and had many, many questions and comments. To extend their learning, the preschoolers have enjoyed playing in their very own, 'Emergency Services' role play area, set up in the Early Learning Centre. The school thanks Holly, Trena and Johnno, and all our other volunteers. Swan Reach is lucky to have you.
This term has started off with, ‘Kindy Olympics’ being held over the last fortnight. The children had fun working through a list of Olympic events, trying their best and getting better with each attempt. They also enjoyed cheering each other on and encouraging others. They learnt about different countries, painted flags and each made a gold medal that were presented at our medal ceremony last Friday.
