Such positive experiences for our students is sometimes underestimated and at times, over-looked. Our school community is alive and buzzing with educational and life-long learning activities that develop our students’ development and growth – academically, socially and physically. SRAS is committed to promoting the plethora of opportunities to enhance the life-skills of our students and continue to being, effective and beneficial collaborators with all stakeholders in our community.
SAVE THE DATE! another reminder that the Mid Murray Our Town Launch, in partnership with SRAS is scheduled for 22nd October 2021. Join us in a community celebration to promote the importance of Mental Health and Wellbeing in our wider community – from Blanchetown to Walker Flat; from Cambrai and Sedan to Bakara – all are welcome. An afternoon devoted to bringing our community and wellbeing agencies together and celebrating Mental Health.

Principal
On Wednesday 15th September, the Year 7-10 Agriculture students shouted the whole school lunch. Everyone enjoyed the local baked spuds with toppings and freshly squeezed orange juice from the orchard. Thank you to Mr Griffiths and the Ag team.
This term Tech Studies has introduced the Year 7 students to the TAS (Technical & Applied Studies) workshop and further developed the knowledge and skills of the Year 8 students. The students are gaining an insight into the importance of workshop rules, working safely, applying personal protective equipment and following machine safety operating procedures (SOPs). They are also learning about the design process to make a napkin holder (Year 7) and a Charcuterie board (Year 8) using a variety of timbers and joints. The students have produced technical drawings that incorporate scale/measurement, linework, view and layout, letters and numbers and neatness.
